Lawways IT IP Gilles Rouvier - Managing partner Founder of Lawways in early 2006 Gilles began his career in January 1995 as an associate at Gide Loyrette Nouel where he negotiated high-value commercial agreements, and dealt with numerous trademark and software infringement cases. In October 1997, he joined August & Debouzy law firm where he provided advisory and litigation services to a broad range of corporate clients, in particular international companies and groups. As of January 2000, he was sent on several long-term postings to the French legal department of the subsidiary of one of the largest US industrial and financial conglomerates, before being posted to their European legal department. In 2002, he trained in US law at UCLA (University of California Los Angeles), before returning to August & Debouzy to resume his practice as Senior Attorney. In 2004, Gilles joined the General Electric Group as Senior Legal Counsel of the French banking subsidiary of GE Consumer Finance branch, serving GE in an in-house capacity for close to 2 years. In early 2006, he decided to set up his own business law firm, LAWWAYS. Mathilde Orsini-Amieux - Associate Before being admitted to the Paris Bar in 2008, Mathilde worked in the field of intellectual property and new technologies as an intern at Salans and at Baker & McKenzie law firms, as well as within the legal department of AOL France. Her working languages are French and English. Mathilde earned a post-graduate DESS degree in Digital Law and New Technologies (from Paris I Panthéon Sorbonne and Paris Sud Universities - 2004), a DEA in International Economic Law (Paris I Panthéon Sorbonne University - 2005), a certificate of applied languages in the field of legal sciences. Mathilde received the distinction of being named one of the “laureates” of 2008 by the Paris Bar Training School.
